Lee's Summit High School is a learning center that serves more than 1,600 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers classes in reading, writing, math, science, English, social studies, art, modern language, physical education, music, computer applications and language arts. The school additionally provides classes in business, communication arts, engineering, and family and consumer science. It offers the English Language Learners program. The school maintains a library media center that stocks books, periodicals and newspapers, as well as provides links to search engines. It also operates a guidance counseling department that offers information on scholarship opportunities, graduation requirements and career planning. The school offers a range of sports activities, such as volleyball, softball, basketball, baseball, tennis, cross-country and gymnastics.
