The most rewarding part of my work is serving humanity with my healthcare skills, knowledge, and 20 years of experience. I entered nursing to care for people during their most vulnerable times. Becoming a nurse practitioner allows me to have a great impact on my patient's care. I believe in listening to my patients and understanding their condition. I focus on discussing their options honestly and thoughtfully.Personal experiences in my family drove me toward my fascination with the brain. A successful outcome is when patients feel cared for in the best possible way. I make sure they're safe, heard, and understood.I emphasize a team approach to care. I want patients to feel valued, respected, and knowledgeable about their condition. I also extend my care to family members with love, understanding, and cultural competence.Patients have shared that they appreciate my caring, compassionate heart, and calming personality. I want my patients to know that I will treat them like my family and friends, with care and understanding.
