- Daily, unhurried and overnight river rafting trips on rivers around the Pacific Northwest. We are a full service, professional outfitter with 33 years of white water experience. We offer trips on the Wenatchee River near Leavenworth, the Methow River near Lake Chelan, the Tieton River outside Yakima, the Wild & Scenic Sauk River only one hour outside Seattle, the Magic Skagit River along the North Cascades Highway, the Skykomish River along U.S. 2 and the Deschutes River in north central Oregon. We have trips lasting from a few hours to several days and nights. We run one of the most comprehensive guide trainings on the West Coast and hire guides only after a thorough vetting and training program. Our staff thinks safety first and goes to great lengths to minimize hazards. We specialize in working with youth groups and corporate team building trips.

General Info
Orion Expeditions was founded in 1978 as an internship for Western Washington University's Recreation program. The original founder, and graduate of WWU, still runs the business with the same mindset and mission - People, Purpose, Pleasure, Profit. In that specific order. It starts with our staff. We pour a lot of energy into building the guide community which extends into the quality and care of our guide service. Every river trip hinges on the maturity, dedication and training of our guides. And that is why we go above and beyond what the state requires for our guide training course in terms of hours, miles logged on the river and time spent training.
