Tomlinson Middle School is a learning center that is located in Lawton, Okla. Established in 1957, the school enrolls students in grades six through eight. The school provides Title 1 classes and special and gifted and talented education programs. The school conducts classes in computer exploration, consumer science and Spanish. Its range of extracurricular activities includes vocal music, art and strings. Tomlinson Middle School operates a student council and supports sports activities, such as football, softball and volleyball. The school also offers the National Junior Honor Society for students. It has a parent-teacher-student organization that supports several academic programs and activities. In addition, the school provides meals and guidance counseling. Tomlinson Middle School is governed by Lawton Public Schools, which serves more than 18,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools.
