- Dental ExaminationDr. Oyler listens to your concerns and performs a comprehensive exam that enables him to design a custom treatment plan that will put you back on track to a beautiful, healthy smile.
- X-raysFor a very broad view of the teeth, jaw, jaw joints, and sinuses, a panoramic X-ray can provide insight that a regular X-ray simply can’t. It is designed to reveal problems such as bone abnormalities and fractures, impacted teeth, infections, cysts, or tumors. As a result, they are especially helpful in any oral or maxillofacial practice. Panoramic X-rays give our team an accurate and trusted view of oral structures, helping us provide a better diagnoses and treatments.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningThese visits are crucial because they allow us to identify changes in your smile, find areas of damage at the earliest stages, and diagnose oral pain. Digital X-rays give us detailed views of the areas that can’t be seen with the naked eye, while an oral cancer screening may reveal cancerous or pre-cancerous tissues that need further attention. Your cleaning with one of our talented hygienists removes plaque and tartar from your teeth, leaving them feeling polished and refreshed. We also offer fluoride treatments to better protect your smile.
- Teeth CleaningOyler Family Dentistry covers all of your most common dental needs. We provide everything from dental cleanings & tips for maintaining oral health to fillings that keep your teeth healthy and functional. Whatever you desire, we’re here for you and your loved ones.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride treatments are typically recommended for younger children, but they are also very beneficial for adults, especially those who suffer from frequent decay, overly sensitive teeth, dry mouth, or developmental defects in their smile. The application of fluoride strengthens enamel through a process known as remineralization, reducing the damage caused by bacteria and acids.
- Dental SealantsSome patients experience mild and temporary post-placement sensitivity from composite resin fillings. The only caution we mention is that coffee, tea, and other staining foods and beverages may discolor composites. Ask us about clear plastic sealants that may help reduce the chances of staining.
- FillingsOur team is happy to let patients know that unnatural, silver-colored fillings aren’t the only option for treating cavities. Our fillings are made of tooth-colored composite resin, and Dr. Oyler shades and contours them to beautifully match existing smiles. We also use this technique to correct failing fillings, replace older amalgam fillings, and successfully treat cracks and fractures in the teeth.
- Resin CompositeIf you're embarrassed about your smile because of decay or dark fillings, you may be a good candidate for composite resin. A tooth-colored plastic mixture, composite resin restores teeth to an attractive, healthy state. Composite resin offers several advantages over traditional silver, or amalgam, fillings.
- VeneersVeneers are thin sheaths of porcelain that cover existing teeth. To begin treatment, Dr. Oyler discusses your smile goals, examines your oral health, and take precise measurements of your facial features and smile. Your handcrafted porcelain veneers will alter the size, shape, and/or color of your teeth to enhance their overall appearance. To create a totally natural-looking smile, Dr. Oyler may suggest that the veneer laboratory incorporate natural imperfections into the porcelain.
- CrownsIf you're self-conscious about cracked, broken, decayed, or worn teeth, we can help bring back your healthy, attractive smile with all-ceramic crowns. An all-ceramic crown returns structure, strength, and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. Designed to fit snugly and function as healthy teeth, they protect the teeth from further damage and preserves the jaw's natural alignment.
- BridgesInjured, decayed, and even missing teeth can all be a big annoyance in everyday life, causing decreased oral function, worsening health problems, and even issues eating and speaking properly. Thankfully, our team can provide you the quality restorations you deserve. Our crowns and bridges are designed to be as strong and lifelike as possible, allowing you to regain a smile that truly shines.
- Dental BondingCosmetic bonding – Bonding is a great option for patients who are looking to make a variety of small changes, such as covering stains, reshaping damaged teeth, or closing tiny gaps between teeth. Although bonding is typically the cheapest option available, its results tend to only last for a few years.
- Restorative DentistryJust as a house needs a solid foundation to remain stable, so does your smile. That foundation is based on healthy gums. Dr. Oyler will first want to make sure your gums show no signs of periodontal disease. Red, swollen or bleeding gums may indicate gingivitis, the first stage of gum disease. Fortunately, we offer effective periodontal therapy to reverse the effects of gum disease so your plan for a more beautiful smile can go forward.
- Root Canal TreatmentAbsolutely. We enjoy creating gorgeous, healthy smiles for patients of any age. If we find that your child - or you, for that matter – would benefit from seeing a specialist, we'll refer to a trusted colleague. Some children deal with dental appointments better at a pediatric dentist’s office. We also refer patients who have extensive dental problems, like advanced gum disease or problematic root canals, to a specialist for optimal care. As a general dentist office, our preventive, orthodontic, restorative, and cosmetic dental services include treatments suitable for patients of all ages.
- Deep CleaningAlong with cleaning and sanitizing during the day, we take things to another level at night with a thorough top-to-bottom scrub down.
- DenturesAre you tired of dealing with the inconveniences of missing teeth? Dr. Brian C. Oyler and Dr. Erin Ballard can design custom dentures that fit snugly to restore our patients' oral function and appearance. Modern materials in dentistry make dentures more comfortable and natural-looking than in previous years. - Dental ImplantsRestorative procedures rely largely on the skill and expertise of the general dentist providing them. Thankfully, Dr. Brian Oyler takes numerous hours in continuing education courses every year and shares that information with our team in order to deliver outstanding results. With his advanced training in dental implant restoration, full-mouth reconstruction, and more, he can give you back the oral health and quality of life you’ve been missing.
- Oral SurgeryThe dental implant placement process is much simpler than it may sound. While it requires minor oral surgery, most patients are pleasantly surprised at how easy and comfortable the process is! First, we make a small incision in the gums. Then, the implant post is inserted directly into the jawbone. A protective cap is placed over the top of the implant to allow the post to fuse with the surrounding bone while preventing gum tissue from healing over the top. The gums are then closed around the dental implant and protective cap, and you’ll be sent home to heal.
- Tooth Extractions
- Bone GraftingYou are never too old to replace your lost teeth with dental implants, but your dentist may take a few precautions. With age comes certain health conditions and medications that can affect your body’s ability to heal and fight infections, so your dentist may recommend a few additional steps to ensure the success of your procedure. Not to mention, you may need a little prep work before your placement surgery, like bone grafting or periodontal therapy. Although your treatment plan may have a few more steps, it is time well-spent to ensure your new smile thrives for decades. Your implant dentist in Greendale will examine your mouth and learn more about your medical history to create the personalized strategy you need to enjoy a complete smile again.
