Tanya and her team were, without exception, incredible. Tanya was one of the most unprofessional real estate agents I've ever worked with (and I've bought/sold a dozen homes in my life). She either does not know anything about her job/profession (i.e. contracts, inspections, closing, & funding), or she's just an old fashioned liar; either way, I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. On multiple occasions during our home sale she made statements about the contract that were not true (saying signed & accepted offers weren't in fact enforceable), but said it in a way where inexperienced people might have just accepted what she said as fact; when I called her bluff she then tried saying we'll that's something that the broker would need to verify. She then almost let a deal fall through because "it wasn't her job" to communicate details to all parties involved; it sounded to me like she just wanted to show a house once and get paid $2,000 without any additional effort.

I found Tanya from a link on Zillow while investigating properties in Lawrence, and am so glad I did. We first contacted Tanya in reference to a house that had appealed to us through Trulia {the house we're in now :D} and had no prior experience with her or any other realtor. We were first time buyers and didn't have a clue about the process. Tanya got back to us pretty much within an hour or two and was eager and ready to show us any house we wanted to see in Lawrence. We viewed at least 15 houses and she was available pretty much night and day to answer my trillions of questions {that's not an exaggeration..I asked a ton of questions}. When we decided to put in a bid she and her expertise were invaluable...and that's probably an understatement. She and her helper Ashley went above and beyond..they even dropped paper work off at my house and pamphlets about home warranties etc. They met us at odd hours if need be because of our work schedules. Pretty much anything you need to know about the buying process..Tanya is an expert on..if you don't have a lender or a inspector she'll point you in the right direction to get the ball rolling...and the ball rolled fast! We closed on our house in about 3 weeks after putting in a bid {Fairway mortgage is also to thank for that}. Normally it is best to have your own buyer realtor and not to use the seller's realtor because basically the realtor becomes a mediator at that point and isn't allowed to push either party {the buyer or the seller} to ask for more or less money. But seeing as Tanya had done so much for us prior to putting in the bid on this house we didn't feel right about having a sellers realtor jump in at that point..Tanya deserved every dime she got from both ends of the deal. I felt that Tanya was open and honest the entire time. She would give input about each house we looked at..and not all of the input was positive. She even showed us a few houses we wanted to look at that were pretty much falling apart..she told us that in advance, but humored us in viewing them anyways. Another thing about Tanya..above her vast knowledge and insane drive to take care of your needs...she has an awesome personality! Without revealing too much I have to say that my co-borrower is not the most easy person to work with..he thinks everyone is out to swindle his money lol..she handled his quarks with ease and so much patience. After closing he conceded that she had more than fulfilled his expectations and that's really saying something..because he's hard to please. I just want to end by giving Tanya and Ashley my personal gratitude...we love our new home! We really had no intentions of buying a house 3 months ago lol...but this house had peaked our interest and Tanya made our dream of owning a home a reality. Thank you so much Tanya for everything you did/do and I also appreciate that you kept our 4 year old entertained at closing too :D.
