Never buy from this dealer. Purchased a "certified pre-owned" Odyssey from this dealer, expecting a safe vehicle that had been thoroughly inspected. Instead, 5 months later, we were in an accident with one of our children secured in a car seat in the driver's side second row captain's seat. Upon impact with the other vehicle, both captain's seats came completely detached from the floor of the vehicle. Our 3-year old's face slammed into the driver's seat and he had lacerations on his face and bruising on his body. We had never taken the seats out before - ever. The body shop said the seats appeared to have never been installed correctly.



Attempts to resolve with the dealer have not even been taken seriously. We are lucky our son wasn't seriously injured or killed. Buy from a dealer that cares about more than just collecting your money. And be vary wary of Honda's certification process. Apparently dealer's inspections are far from complete.

Jack Ellena Honda serviced my 2003 Civic Hybrid recently. They were pleasant, efficient and professional. After I arrived at the agreed time and we tended to the paper-work, a service department representative escorted me to their excellent waiting room (large, light and comfortable, with plenty of Wi-FI). The same fellow kept me advised as the repairs progressed. As it happened, the mechanics found an issue I hadn't reported: a recall notice on a small but important item had showed up when they ran my VIN through the computer. Somehow I'd let it slip. This was taken care of at no charge to me. Although I am not from Lawrence -- was there for a visit -- I must say I was so favorably impressed by the work done and the attitude shown that I would recommend anyone give Jack Ellelna Honda a try. I was entirely happy with the whole experience.

This was a satisfactory car-buying experience. Monty, Erica, Sam, Coop, and Tom made us feel very comfortable as they worked to seal the deal.. They were very patient and persevering to help us get my Honda Civic, which I have wanted for 34 years--it should have been my first car and definitely my first car-buying experience, but better late than never. I would highly recommend this dealership and its staff, who provided provide good customer service and sales expertise.

Love to sell you a car, but th...

Love to sell you a car, but they won't back the product when it comes to factory defects. Dealer refused to take care of a quality issue (defective paint/clearcoat on the hood) with my vehicle because I had not "regularly use them for service" Service manager was rude, and an embarrassment to Honda. I'll be purchasing my next car from Sharp honda or a dealer in Kansas City.

We recently bought a new Civic from Laura Augustine. Laura was very patient and clearly answered all our questions about the new car. This is our first purchase in ten years; much has changed in the cars. Laura also worked with us to complete the paperwork and then set up our preferences in the car while we dealt with finances. So far we are pleased with the Civic.

I needed a newer vehicle badly but kept putting it off. I went to Jack Ellena Honda and spoke to Monty Lala. After telling him what I was looking for and my price range he had two vehicles he thought I might like. He new all the details about the 2010 Chevy Colbalt that I liked the best. He was very very pleasant to work with. The whole experience didn't take long at all. I enjoyed working with Coop and Mike Lake also. They went out of their way to help me. Buying a car from Jack Ellena Honda,and Monty Lala made me a happy customer.

I puchased a 2008 Honda Accord from Monty Lala in March of 2011 and it was a very pleasant buying experience. So, when my mother was ready to purchase in December, we had no qualms about returning to Jack Ellena Honda and working with Monty again. Once again, we had a great experience. The whole staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband and I purchased a 2005 Honda Civic Sedan from Jack Ellena Honda and the service was exceptional. We visited the dealership one other time to get an idea of their inventory and Laura Augustine and Dave Blair were very helpful in listening to our needs, taking notes and following up through phone calls to make us aware of new cars that became available as we searched. Laura and Dave and the whole team at Jack Ellena Honda couldn't have been more helpful and attentive to our needs. We had a great experience and will send our friends their way when they need to purchase a car. Thank you all and happy holidays!

I recently bought a 2012 Honda Civic from Jack Ellena, and am very satisfied with the sales experience and the car. Dave Blair was the salesperson I worked with, and he was very helpful and accommodating (I test drove four of their vehicles). All the Ellena people are pleasant, helpful, and not at all pushy. Before this car, I had a 1996 Civic, and I've also had good experiences with the service department over the years, part of why I decided to buy a new car at Ellena.

Very good service. Dave Blair was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The whole staff at Ellena Honda was courteous and professional. They made my wife and I feel right at home, and there was never any pressure to buy. I highly recommend Ellena Honda!
