Founded in 200, the Merrick Academy is a public, charter school that offers a range of learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade six. The academy s curriculum includes math, history, science, geography, literature and fine arts. It has an enrollment of more than 450 students. The Merrick Academy administers the Title I program. The academy provides guidance counseling, food, and occupational and speech therapy services. It also offers special education programs for students with learning disabilities. The Merrick Academy operates a parent-teacher association that serves as a resource for students, parents and staff members. The academy is a part of Victory Schools.
