During quarantine time at home, Sensai Hunt continues to provides well rounded sessions of Kickboxing and Karate classes for all levels and all ages. My son and I receives Sensai Hunt's instructions twice per week for both Karate & Kickboxing. The Kickboxing classes keep my mind and spirit positive and focused and my son Dylan's skills in Karate is continuing to grow and strengthen for next level.

I used to take Jeff's Karate class when I was young. It taught me amazing discipline, self control, technical skill, teamwork, perseverance, comradeship, etc. I could keep going with what someone can take away from that class. I highly recommend it for every child. And now as an adult, I heard about his adult kickboxing class and I HAD TO return. No questions asked. And as expected, I was not disappointed. The class is absolutely amazing. The energy from Jeff, his instructor and the students in the class is contagious. When we enrolled our daughter in Jeff Hunt Traditional Shotokan Karate we were looking for an extracurricular activity that would bolster her physical fitness & exercise, increase her self-confidence, introduce her to a new skill and expand her interest and abilities. To our delight, we received much more than we anticipated. In just nine months, our daughter went from tentatively entering the dojo to eagerly anticipating each class and advocating for additional sessions. We attribute her enthusiasm to the fact that her efforts and growth are consistently affirmed. All of the instructors are knowledgable and passionate about their discipline and in each session our daughter is challenged to achieve her personal best. I am glad that my daughter ISHA has gone to this Dojo under the tutelage .of Sense'Jeff Hunt and SenPie .She has become very confident in her ability to achive almost anything.Math has become one of her favorite subjects where it was once challenging.Her whole academics has improve greatly since attending Jeff Hunts Dojo. This January she was moved from a special ed curriculum to main stream curriculum at her junior high school.Jeff Hunt encourages the children in such a way that taps into their .hidden potential . Isha began to believe in herself and she has become sure of herself since attending karate. .

My then 3 year old son, Kayden started attending Karate at Sensei Hunt's Dojo in September of 2018. The main reason I opted for karate as an out of school activity was because my son was having difficulty adjusting and following instructions at school. Initially, I just researched what activities were located in the neighborhood, and I stumbled upon Sensei Hunt’s website. I thought it was worth a try.
I first would like to say that I love everything about the way this Dojo is ran. Sensei Hunt and Sempei are phenomenal with the children. Sensei provides structure and discipline with his tone without being mean or threatening to the kids. And Sempei; a teddy bear at heart. The contrast in their personalities brings such a nice balance to the class. They are able to command and give guidance to the children while instilling self-control, responsibility, and focus. For my 3 (now 4) year old, I was heavily concerned that my child was too young and too disorderly to participate in Karate. But he was welcomed and treated wonderfully.
I truly think that it is extremely important for young boys (and girls) to see important role models in their communities. Raising children is not easy, it truly takes a village. Thank you Sensei Hunt for providing an additional safe haven for my son.

Sensei you are truely a blessing to our community and an inspiration to the kids and to us parents. Your service goes far beyond the art of karate but extends to a place where guidance, structure and respect permeates and is taught to the kids. The kickboxing class is truly a unique experience. All areas are covered. I owe my tight sculpted abs to this class. You get cardio, core strength training, improved flexibility. As someone who is very sensitive to the energy of others and my surroundings, I get the feel that I'm in a spiritually protective space. Class is supportive of one another as we share our experiences from outside world and we end each session with prayer.

Wonderful, Motivated, Dedicated, Spiritual... I could go on and on. This guy is not only a karate teacher, but he's a individual that is dedicated in changing the community for the better. I started with Sensei Jeff when my son Bhieki was 5 yrs old and needed help with focusing in Kindergarten. 2 years later my 5 y/o daughter Moegju began training also. In 2008 Sensei Jeff had a "Biggest Loser Contest." It was my time to step in the mix. I did and who could have imagine that after 3 months I was able to lose 21 pounds. I dream of that figure again and again. My husband saw the benefit and he too began training. Later that year the family had to stop training due to imy surgery/ unemployment and financial issue. It was, and has been a devastating blow to our amazing journey Sensei had poured so much into us, I cannot tell you how it saddened us to stop. Year after year the entire family yearned to return to training and Sensei always say "come I'll work with you." He never seen to mind the money piece. I always plan to return. A year ago I enrolled my youngest son Ajani. To my amazement he broke out like a cannon - Sensei and Sempi began the pouring, and like we had in the past, the training has been beyond my expectation. Sure enough, my other children now wanted to return and myself of course. So here we are now. Back for the second round. 2nd time around a charm!!!.

Sensei Jeff, you are a great believer in people. You give unselfishly. I pray that the Dojo prosper and be there for hundreds more people to get the best of you.

Sensei Hunt is an amazing instructor and his program not only focuses on karate but also on ensuring that his students excel in academics and have self control and focus in all aspects of life. My son has some challenges in maintaining his focus and self control but Sensei always takes the time and goes above and beyond for him and his other students to make sure they are confident in their karate practice. He also makes sure that they understand the importance of education and building strong character. This program has helped my son both mentally and physically and I cannot thank Sensei Hunt enough!
