I saw an ad on TV that touted the Avi Resort as the best in Laughlin and they had this tv offer of 89 dollars for two nights with other complements.



I called and asked what check in time was and i was informed that it was at 3pm. When I got to the resort ten minutes before 3 i was told check in was 4 pm and it was also pasted on the wall. But in some brochures it said that check in was 3pm. I had two kids with me and we drove 1 and half hours in the heat and we were sweaty.



I waited for the room. The lady that checked me in was in an animated conversation with some people as she worked her computer. She made a mistake and placed a 300 + hold on my debit card.



I called after I went to my room and they found the error and rectified it. They called my bank Wells Fargo to release part of the amount no hold.



On Check out time on Aug 9 my bill came out to more than what I expected and I wanted to talk to a manager for all the miscelleneous charges that was on the bill. No manager was there and no one could answer the question.



I went directly to the group sales office and spoke to one of the sales person, it took her a good 20 minutest to research the error and talked to her boss about it. Her boss found out that i had been billed twice for the extra two kids in the room.



She walked me over to the front desk and spoke to a manager. The manager corrected the bill and said i was only liable for 117+ but the bill still reflected 138.00 on the new receipt. she wrote down the amount 117.00 in ink and assured me that this was the amount billed my debit card. And apologized the the lady that checked me out did not know the system and was new, the same excuse they gave me when i first checked in.



Today Aug 13th my statement from my bank came in and it billed me 138.00.



The Hotel resort is beautiful as with the other resorts in laughlin, but much is left to the service and expertise of employees. No one smiled not the keno lady, not the check in person or the check out person, not the table card game, not the waiter, not the roulette clerk.



The only person the actually smiled was the valet as you gave them a tip.



I would not come back nor recommend this place to any of my friends. I d stay at the Harrahs next time im in Laughlin
