We just returned home from having to send our furry girl, Peanut, to the Rainbow Bridge. I would like to commend the staff and especially Dr. Rubenstein for their caring, understanding, patience, and compassion during a very difficult time. We were allowed all the time we felt we needed to say our goodbyes and after the procedure we were not rushed out the door. After 15 years with my furry baby girl I am not sure if I will ever have another pet, but if I do this is the only veterinarian's office I would consider using.

Have taken dogs and cats,kittens here as Foster Mom for Those Left Behind Foundation; good people; can recommend their care.

I would and have recommended this animal hospital to anyone that asks . me. The staff as well as the vets are GREAT !! I've taken my dog there 2 times so far as a emergency issue and was totally pleased , they acually cared about me as well . Priced reasonably. Went to Las Vegas emergency hospital on charleston and they were HORRIBLE!! These people are awesome if you can't get ur vet or if its after hours. I am very fussy dog owner and I fell this is the place to use !

All I can say is I am forever heart broken and should of gone with my gut feeling and taken my dog elsewhere. Dont let what happened to me happen to you :-(

I had to take my dog in to see Dr Jones due to the mailman hit him and left. I can not tell you how upset, scared, and worried I was that my best friend was unable to use any of his body. We walked in, no apt, and they took us in like we had been there before. Unfortunatly they had to call a day later to tell me that my beloved pup passed away. With in a few days I had received a card in the mail from Dr. Jones and some of the staff saying how sorry they were....GREAT people! A year, and new pup later, I had to take my new buddy up since he was not feeling himself. Turns out my dog has Pneumonia, and after a short stay is feeling back to normal. Appox 3 days later I have received a call from Dr Jones himself asking how my Camshaft was doing. I cant tell you enough how much I appriciate the follow up call, and the personal service! I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment!!!

I lost my lab two years ago after having her for nearly 13 years all spend with the absolutely delightful Dr. Kempf and his wonderful staff. This lab could find trouble like no ones business including swallowing a sewing needle and three fox tails up her nose as well as the usual weight problems, flea problem etc. The last six months of her life we spent fighting cancer. It would have been a totally differnt experience without this remarkable Dr Kempf and his staff. If you are lucky enough to become his patient or your pet is lucky enough- grab the chance. He is the most impressive medical person I have ever met.

This vet has provided my animals with outstanding and caring service for the past 10 years. They cured a puppy I had picked up who had parvo virus, and made sure I was able to protect my other dog from exposure during the treatment process. They remind me when vaccines and check-ups are due, and they are extremely flexible when my crowded schedule requires last-minute changes of appointment times. I could definitely take my pets to more expensive places closer to my house. I choose to stay with this vet because of the quality of the services offered.

Love this place! Every time I go in, they are always friendly and cheerful. The clinic is always clean and orderly. The doctor always explains everything to me so that I understand, and makes sure I understand every charge that I am paying so there are no surprises at the register. And they always treat my pets with dignity and compassion. I would not go anywhere else!

Dr. Carney is the Dr. we see at West Charleston Animal Hospital. We have seen a few others on an emergency type basis and it is similar to going to emergi-care and not your regular doc, they do the best they can.



Dr. Carney is loving and caring with our animals, knows each one of them personally and calls periodically to check in on them if she hasn't heard from us.



She saved Hannah's life after someone abused her. Hannah had a rough go of it, but thanks to Dr. Carney she is stabilized on meds and hasn't had a seizure as of this review in over 2 months. (She was having clusters every two weeks).



I feel it's important to find the Vet you and your animals can connect with, just because you don't connect with one vet in particular, doesn't make the entire hospital or that doctor bad.



I highly recommend going to West Charleston Animal Hospital and requesting Dr. Carney.

I have spent thousands of dollars here over a years' worth of time for my dogs and all they did was take and take and I never got any kind of info when they took the same tests over and over and kept on charging me. Dr. Jones never showed me any of their test results and I trusted him. Well, I learned my lesson. I don't even know if he took half the tests that I paid for. I feel like I was ripped off. I see another vet now that loves and cares for my dogs and shows me the results of any tests she takes and gives me copies of their bloodwork, etc. All Dr. Jones ever gave me was BS. He was too concerned about the way he looked to give a damn about any animal. One of my dogs jumped and touched his knees and he brushed them off right in front of me. nice, eh? Is this the kind of person you want taking care of your pets? This is why he squats all the time--he doesn't want the dogs jumping on him. He's afraid he might get dirty. Don't think he is cut out to be a vet.

I have been a professional Pug Breeder and Dr Jones and Dr. Kempf are very knowledgeable and up to date on the technical side of care, the front office staff are great with a nod to Brenda, friendly and willing to work with you...Please disregard the negative remarks from embittered ex employees, this is a very good animal hospital.
