Follow up on my Jeep Wagoneer that has been reworked ....and I mean reworked! Engine rebuild, rewiring of harness, all hoses, belts, electrical parts like starter and generator, transmission cooler, power windows and door locks
replaced, and the list goes on. Took some time, believe me, because I said no rush. Two years later it is finished at a cost of about $19,000. Was it all necessary? They said it was so I said go ahead. Will NEVER go thru this again without written estimates and second opinions.

I was recently in a car accident and I found SUV and Trucks R US online. Before agreeing to move forward with the repairs, I asked a very simple question, "Can you guys bill my insurance company?" A gentleman on the line said that they would be able to "bill anything to the insurance company" (exact verbiage). After my service was nearly finished, they told me that they do not bill insurance companies and I needed to be a cash pay. I would have never moved forward if I knew that they didn't have a case manager onsite who handles with clients' insurance. I was completely blindsided with a $1400+ payment. Very disappointed in the service I received. I will never recommend or come here again.

I was a customer of this shop for years taking both my Mercedes and my Chevy truck there. About two years ago I had a brand new motor installed in my truck along with an A/C system. After only 25000 miles the A/C had to be replaced and the motor makes noise. I also had a new exhaust system installed on my truck and whoever did it welded a section of the pipe against the frame so it vibrates like hell at idle. I used to think I got great service from John and Bernie but always felt I paid top price too. When I emailed John I received a rely all in caps that was their standard canned reply. I have used this repair facility for several of my vehicles including a Mercedes and a truck. For several years I thought I was getting great service on my vehicles , although I always felt the price was at the top of the line. Then I guess they got too busy to really pay attention to what made them so good. I had an exhaust system installed on my truck for about 1000 dollars and when I picked it up my truck I found that it was not the system I asked for and as I drove it home the vibration was terrible. They welded a section of exhaust pipe directly against the frame resulting in a loud vibration at idle. Also about two years ago I had a new motor and air conditioning system installed and after only 25000 miles the motor makes noise and the A/C had to be replaced so I am not so convinced of their ability to do quality work anymore and have moved on to a new shop

Finding a mechanic that can be trusted to do quality work at a fair price is a challenge. Bernie and his staff at SUV & Trucks R Us are that rare find. They are honest, up-front, and extremely competent. The years of experience are evident just talking with them - if it has happened to a vehicle, they've probably seen it and definitely know what to do about it! The services I have had performed on my truck were very well worth the cost. There were additional things done (extra cleaning of engine parts, for example) that took an appreciable amount of time, but were included without raising the estimated cost. Why? Bernie says, "It's customer service. We want you to come back." They are my shop of choice, and if you want quality service, they should be yours, too.

They bother to know my name ! Life is busy enough without worrying about price per value with my cars They charge a fair price for great service and i don't have to think twice about it how much is that worth ? :-)
