Noelle Cerdan, APRN, CPNP, DNP is one of the four healthcare providers working at Oshiro Pediatrics. DNP Cerdan joined the practice in June 2009. She is a pediatric nurse pracitioner (PNP) and is board certified (CPNP). She is providing pediatric services just like Dr. Hom and Dr. Oshiro. A pediatric nurse practitioner provides services just like a physician's assistant (PA) or a nurse practitioner (NP). A pediatric nurse practitioner, however, has had more extensive pediatric training. Whereas a PA or a NP trains to take care of both pediatric patients and adult patients, a PNP trains to solely take care of pediatric patients. PNP Cerdan completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Nursing at UNLV and has her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She has worked at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit and worked at St. Rose-San Martin on the general pediatric floor. She is a fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In 2011, she published her research on asthma in Applied Nursing Research. She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. PNP Cerdan is precepting one UNLV nurse practitioner student at a time each Summer semester.
