Founded in 1949, the Mesilla Valley Training Center offers a variety of educational opportunities to students in grades 8 through 12. Also known as MVTC, the center is a vocational high school that administers career and technical education programs. It provides classes in marketing, life management, woodworking, horticulture and computer applications. The Mesilla Valley Training Center also offers programs in transition skills development and landscape construction and maintenance. The center organizes fairs and field trips, as well as provides transportation and food services. It is a part of Las Cruces Public Schools, which governs several elementary, middle and high educational institutions.
