Established in 1953, MacArthur Elementary School is located in Las Cruces, N.M. The school serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers a range of extracurricular activities that includes art, music, and technical and physical education. It conducts classes in reading, writing, math and science. MacArthur Elementary School offers Title 1 and English Language Learners programs. The school also provides special education programs to gifted and talented students. Its staff includes a diagnostician, social worker, and speech and language pathologist. In addition, the school provides food, guidance counseling and medical care. MacArthur Elementary School is a part of Las Cruces Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
