The WEBB County Detention Center, one of the facilities operated by the Corrections Corporation of America, is a correctional facility located in Laredo, Texas. Established in 1999, it has more than 400 beds. The WEBB County Detention Center contributes to several local organizations, including the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, Laredo Community College Police Academy, Sacred Heart Children's Home and Texas A&M International University. The Corrections Corporation of America, also known as CCA, is one of the largest providers of corrections management services in the United States. It provides services to local, state and federal governments. It operates over 60 facilities in approximately 15 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The corporation provides educational, vocational, therapeutic and addiction treatment programs.
