General Info
The Webb County Sheriff s Department provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. The department intervenes in cases of theft, burglary, sexual assault, serious crime, narcotics trafficking and domestic violence. It conducts investigations, gathers evidence, and interviews suspects, victims and witnesses. It operates community affairs, court security, communications, training, and civil and warrants divisions. The Webb County Sheriff s Department also operates a detention facility. The department s communications division responds to emergency and nonemergency calls for service. It also offers Gang Resistance Education and Training and Drug Abuse Resistance Education programs. In addition, it organizes several safety-related training sessions for the general public. The Webb County Sheriff s Department is headquartered in Laredo, Texas.
