Dr. Barrera is an Optometrist in Laredo providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities. As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Barrera provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Barrera is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Barrera is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Barrera has been in practice for over 30 years. As such he can provide advice on what type of lens is best suited to your prescription. He can also advise you on what type of frame is best suited for the job and will look best according to your prescription and visual demands. From bifocals to progressives to sports and safety and shooting glasses we can advise you on what works best. Dr. Barrera will even help in frame selection when needed.
