2 stars because food is good.
Staff needs training. If your server is nowhere to be found, dont ask someone else to help, they will ignore you. If your waiting for a table and someone they know shows up you will get bumped. Dont bother leaving a tip if service is bad because they will just give it back to you (old man working there who doesnt speak english).

Theres is nowhere esle to go drink good beer.

Great food, excellent beer selection and a couple nice servers/bartenders but like any other business in Laredo, it lacks good management. This place does not open until 5pm, so they DO NOT serve brunch nor are open for the early football games on Sundays. To top it off, the idiot owner will not have this place open for New Year's Eve. I guess they don't need the money...

In the state capitol of Bud Light, El Capataz is the beer-centric place to be! Inside you wil find an inviting atmosphere with knowledgeable staff, Great Food staples and a rotating tap of microbrews!!!! Although the location is a bit tricky to get to, you will find that this gem of a bar would be a perfect release from the humdrum of Laredo hangouts! Far from a dive bar, El Capataz is the ideal location for Sunday brunch, happy hour beers or the perfect nightcap! See you there, Cheers!
