It’s like they know they can treat you like trash and get away with it. This place will never change just like the poor quality you see everywhere in this god forsaken city

My experience with Critter Care has been horrible. Had several dogs taken there as part of a rescue, and each time there were problems. Misdiagnosis, mislabeling, charges put on our account that weren't ours, and the final straw was Dr. Leyendecker's refusal to vaccinate a dog if I wouldn't buy a microchip. I was hung up on as I tried to explain we had our own microchips and the dog would be getting it at another time. The poor lady that took the dog in waited an hour and a half while other people who arrived after her went in first. The only reason that could be determined was because she was bringing in a rescue dog. After all that, she was thrown out. She was told it was because we owed money, which we didn't. I was on the phone, and was told it was because of the microchip issue. We always paid at the time of service, paid full price same as everyone else, made appointments, waited... why we were treated so poorly may be a reflection of Dr. Leyendecker's other job of euthanizing at the Laredo shelter. Maybe having dogs rescued out of there interfered with the profit she makes from killing them. No compassion for the dogs, she saw. She was always very rough with them, demanding and abrupt with our volunteers. Substandard care and no attempts at customer service. We've since taken our business to Laredo Animal Clinic and have had a much better experience.
