J.W. Sexton High School is a part of the Lansing School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. J.W. Sexton High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, science, American government, economics, and world history and geography. The curriculum also includes courses in family and consumer science, telecommunications, video production, technical writing, and trade and industrial education. In addition, the school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities in music, art and drama and operates more than 50 student clubs and associations. J.W. Sexton High School provides several sports activities, including softball and swimming. It also conducts foreign language sessions in French, Spanish and Japanese. Located in Lansing, Mich., the school s facility includes counseling and library and media centers.
