Established in 1959, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce provides Michigan businesses legislative, political, and legal advocacy. It represents over 6 thousand employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. Within the chamber are businesses of all different sizes and industries. The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is one of six state chambers accredited by the US Chamber. It continually strives to promote an environment with steady job creation where businesses are able to grow. By valuing individual freedom, incentive, opportunity, and responsibility, it helps Michigan maintain effective economic, political, and social systems. The ultimate goal of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce is to help Michigan businesses succeed.
