Founded in North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Clubs is a social welfare organization that provides more than 50 programs for children between the ages of 6 and 18. It offers homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring services. The organization also provides after-school and character and leadership development programs. Its fitness program includes a variety of activities, such as kickball, football, basketball and air hockey. The organization conducts workshops on topics related to drugs and alcohol use and prevention. It offers financial assistance, parenting classes, job skills training, and educational and recreational programs. North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Clubs programs promote team work, sportsmanship and interpersonal skills development amongst children. Its arts program includes painting, drawing, creative writing and knitting classes. The organization also hosts tournaments and organizes contests for youths and children. It maintains a presence in Lansdale, Pa.
