MXL Industries, a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Patent Development Corporation, is a specialist in the manufacture of polycarbonate parts that require adherence to strict optical quality specifications. The company also specializes in the application of abrasion and fog resistant coatings to these parts. Established over 30 years ago, MXL evolved into the premier coater of polycarbonate and acrylic parts. A growing insistence on quality coating results led MXL to also establish itself as a specialist in the injection molding of optical quality polycarbonate, thus ensuring control of the process from start to finish. At its Lancaster, Pa., facility, MXL molding machines are housed in a climate controlled clean environment designed and built by the company.
