Delmarva Millwork Corporation began in 1943 as a small millwork distributor owned and managed by W. B. Johnson. In 1947, Johnson brought his son-in-law, W. F. "Chic" Bounds, into the business. Under their guidance, a small sash and door company evolved into a major supplier and manufacturer of home building materials for the Eastern-Central part of the United States. Throughout the years, Delmarva grew steadily and with growth came new products and services for customers. Bedded windows and doors were a Delmarva original concept. The company also manufactured the first double-hung window unit with insulating glass and pioneered water repellent treatment on all exterior millwork. Products provided by Delmarva include: custom, standard and specialty windows; interior and exterior doors; stair work; columns; and mouldings and millwork products. It is headquartered in Lancaster, Pa.
