Lancaster EMS Association, established in 1996, is a nonprofit organization that offers medical transportation and paramedic services to patients throughout Pennsylvania. The services offered by the organization include wheelchair and stretcher transport, basic life support, medical and first-aid assistance and a fully equipped ambulatory services. It also provides on-site emergency medial services for sports events, concerts, festivals, equestrian events and bike and auto races. Its transport vehicles are staffed with emergency medical technicians, certified first responders and a medical transport specialist. The ambulances are equipped with electrocardiogram heart monitors, radio equipment and cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices. It also provides educational training programs for emergency medical technicians. The organization is headquartered in Lancaster, Pa.
