Established in 1976, SMR Aggregates is a supplier of aggregate products for building foundations, road bases, asphalt, concrete block and various filtration applications. It produces nearly four million tons of aggregates in a year. Based in Sarasota, Fla., the firm sells more than 1.8 million tons of fill dirt in a year to residential, commercial and road construction companies. SMR Aggregates offers a variety of products, such as 250 Sand, FDOT asphalt screenings, large-washed/medium-washed shells, beach compatible washed sand, silica sand and drainfield sand. The firm operates in compliance with the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
