If you agree that a shellac manicure should last at least 2 weeks, then Luxury Nails on Palmbrush Trail in LWR is not for you.

Amy did my nails and I had the following concerns which turned out to be justified:

1) She didn't smooth out the ends before she painted the nails so they felt rough to the touch. I asked her to fix it and she said she knew what she was doing.

2) She put a total of 4 coats on, unlike other places that do up to 6.

3) She only let them under the light for 30 seconds and was adamant that was best.

4) She filed the ends of my nails AFTER the polish to finally smooth them out. Thereby removing the sealed coat of polish....

As a result: One nail chipped in 6 days. A second nail completely peeled off in 8 days.

Nope - never going back to Luxury Nails on Palmbrush Trail off of Route 70 in LWR.
Zen Nails across the street is more expensive and dirty so I don't recommend them either.

I have found several nail salons in LWR that do an excellent job for $25 and are kept clean.

I'm new to the area and I was a walk-in customer on April 24th. The atmosphere of the salon was very "uneasy". The nail techs didn't smile nor did they seem happy. I had gel polish put on both my toes and nails and was happy when I left. Unfortunately 2 days later on April 26th, the polish on my thumb nail was literally peeling off. I've never experienced this with gel polish before and immediately went to the salon with my reciept in hand. I met the owner who said they would fix the nail. The tech that was assisting me asked me what color I had on and she was clearly agitated that I didn't know. After almost 15 minutes of trying to "match" the color, they redid them completely. On April 30th, (4 days later), the paint started peeling off another nail. Frustrated, I called and asked to speak with the owner. I was told he wasn't there and to call back, which I did. Again, I was told he wasn't there and to call back. On May 1st, I went back to the salon and spoke with the owner directly. He fixed the nail himself and kindly put a new coat of gel polish on top of the coat that was already on (freshing it up a bit). Today, May 6th what do you think is happening? Yep, the polish is peeling off again and the polish he used to "freshen up" is now bubbling! I called to check their business hours and I was told they were open until 5pm. I arrived at the salon at 3:55pm to get the nails fixed and when I went to open the door it was locked. I knocked and rang the bell but nobody came to the door. I peeked inside and I saw the nail techs working on a few clients but they refused to come to the door even when they saw me standing outside. It was an HOUR before the store was scheduled to close! Why they wouldn't come to the door when they saw me and just ask what I needed or let me know they couldn't take any further clients is beyond me! I would NEVER, EVER step foot in this salon again and would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

Nice, friendly, and not costly. You can go and get gel for less then any other place. Love and will be going back!!

I HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE..... WARM AND FRIENDY STAFF.....SO RELAXING AND MY TOES ARE BEAUTIFUL : )
