Mentally Retarded Citizens of Missouri offers community-based services for persons with mental disabilities. The agency operates through a network of skilled and experienced physical, occupational, speech and language therapists, social workers and educational specialists. It offers mental and behavioral health care, self-help skills training and basic etiquette, as well as initiates various activities and programs related to learning, communicating, anger management, building relationships, eating, movement and regulation. Mentally Retarded Citizens of Missouri also organizes various activities for the prevention of social and developmental difficulties. In addition, the agency places persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in normal environments where they live, work and play.
