Shalom Movers is the most dishonest company you will likely hire. We used them because of the cheaper quote they offered us. In reality, it ended up costing us more. After a signed agreement and a full walkthrough of our house, Shalom agreed to do our move for $1500.

On Thursday most of the house was ready for moving and we actually hired separate workers on Wednesday to bring the remainder of our stuff near to the front door to make the move go faster on Thursday. On Thursday I had to be away with my kids and left my wife and brother stayed behind. I got back at 5 pm in the afternoon and they told my wife they had finished the move.

My wife kindly paid them the remainder of the balance/ tips for the workers. Our mistake was that we didn't return to our old house.

Lo and behold the following week we returned, for a final clean up and ready to turn it over. The house is still filled with tons of our stuff. Even the easy stuff that we hired workers to bring next to the front door was left in place. The front door left broken. For that matter, a few doors had been taken off and never put back on.

We figured a quick call to Shalom would easily rectify this situation. We were shocked when he started claiming that we were cheaters and this stuff wasn't
really there in the first place or we had never shown him this stuff on the walkthrough. Additionally, Shalom had never finished assembling a bunch of furniture back in our new house, his response: "I am really busy these days".

In the end, he hung up the phone on us. He had his money and he screwed us. He did not come through on the job and stole our money.

I could go on and on but this man and his company are nothing but liars. If you want to have an honest move without problems stay far away from these people. They stole my money and it would have been far cheaper and easier to hire people, real professionals. Now we are stuck hiring a guy here and there.
