Dr. Candace Thrash is a board certified dermatologist specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Thrash and her staff are experts in a variety of skin conditions, from minor to serious. She takes her role in the detection of skin cancer seriously, and encourages annual skin cancer screenings for all of her patients. Dr. Thrash takes the time to listen to her patients, and works with them to find a customized treatment plan to fit their needs. Dr. Thrash takes a very individual approach to cosmetic dermatology. She has the distinction of being an ExpertInjector, less than 3% of all doctors are awarded. Dr. Thrash begins with a consultation, where she takes the time to find out your goals, and creates an individual approach to help you look like the best version of yourself. The objective at Fresh Dermatology is to help you achieve results that are completely natural and help you look more rested, revitalized, and refreshed. Dr. Candace Thrash, a native Texan, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she finished in the top 10% of her class. Dr. Thrash completed an internship in Internal Medicine through Northwestern University School of Medicine then went on to complete her residency in dermatology at the world-famous Cook County Hospital in Chicago. After completing her board certification, Dr. Thrash entered private practice in Chicago. During her time in Chicago, Dr. Thrash was actively involved in clinical research, teaching, public speaking, and was a successful entrepreneur. She was awarded the Physician Star Award from Swedish Covenant Hospital and was frequently quoted in newspaper and television media. Dr. Thrash relocated to Lakeway in 2008 to be closer to family. She worked in private practice and clinical research in the Austin area for 5 years before opening Fresh Dermatology. Dr. Thrash launched Fresh Dermatology because she wanted to create an environment where patients of all ages could seek practical, honest answers to their skin care questions. Dr. Thrash enjoys building long relationships with her patients and supporting the community.
