It is a fun place to be when we are with our group of friends. The owner Ray has his three daughters running Castaway and they are all great ladies, very sociable and friendly. Problems are they need more new picnic tables, and everyone is very unhappy with the outhouse. Needs to be deodorized much more than it is and emptied more often. They need to sweep the spider webs off the building on a weekly basis. The also need to put a solar light on the sign at the entrance. It is very easy to pass Castaway up if you are arriving when it is dark even though you have been camping there for years. They also need to dredge the marina by next summer because it is really nothing but muck and not very deep for the boats.
