An occupational safety and health distributor, Safety Products initially served the niche market of the phosphate and mining industry in central Florida. Safety Products provided a large percentage of its services in Polk County, Fla. In the late 1980s, the company diversified into other geographical areas of the state, such as Tampa, Orlando and Miami. In the early 1990s, Safety Products continued to grow and added field service support in northern Florida. By 1996, the company opened a second branch location in Charlotte, N.C., therefore positioning itself as a regional supplier to the Southeastern United States. Headquartered in Lakeland, Fla., Safety Products was established as RamWil Industrial Glove Supply in 1968.
