      General Info
      Leisure Services Division is a part of Polk County, Fla., and operates more than 30 park sites and over 10 miniparks that include a historical-oriented park, athletic facilities, picnic areas and campgrounds. It also maintains nearly 40 boat launching sites. The division additionally organizes special events and conducts a summer program. Its administration section works to formulate grants and agreements between the county and cities for park development and improvement. Leisure Services Division also operates a park maintenance unit that is responsible for the building, maintenance and repair of all Polk County parks. It offers certification training courses to coaches, as well as athletic fields for league play. Leisure Services Division also organizes recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, age-related activities, movies, swimming and field trips.
