Dr. Ajit Brar is a board-certified family medicine physician with a wide range of abilities to provide compassionate care to patients across the lifespan. She has extensive experience in areas such as geriatrics, sport medicine, primary care, and urgent care. She also cares for obstetric patients and delivers babies. Dr. Brar earned her MD in medicine at Ross University. She then completed her residency and fellowship at Mercy Health System in Janesville, Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and sees patients at the Highlands office. Describe your clinical specialties. I practice full spectrum family medicine from newborns to end of life care. I also specialized in obstetrics during my residency, so I am certified to deliver babies. What is your patient care philosophy? I always wanted to become a doctor so I could help others. It is very rewarding to help people find purpose and meaning, especially during times of despair. What do you enjoy most about working with patients? I love inspiring patients to live a healthy lifestyle and to live life to the fullest. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Cooking, exercising, walking around our beautiful lakes here in town, and spending as much time as possible with my kids and family. I also enjoy music, travel, reading, art, dance, and going to movies and museums. What else would you like to share with your patients and colleagues? If I haven’t made my family, my patients, and my co-workers smile, then I didn’t do my job properly that day!
