I had Southern Awning fabricate an awning to be attached to an existing metal frame.



The awning was ready on schedule and attached to the frame, however, one side of the awning couldn't be attached to the frame. The installer drilled a hole through the awning material and used a sheet metal screw to secure the awning fabric to the frame.



The awning should have been removed and have additional tie downs installed to the inside of the fabric so the awning could be secured to the frame from the inside. This is needed for a seamless appearance. Now I have an awning with a screw hole through the material and it's the weak link for issues.



I've called Southern Awning's owner several times, but no response. I contacted Angie's List and filed a complaint. Southern Awning wouldn't return Angie's List attempts to discuss the issue. Angie's List removed Southern Awning from their web site.



I would not recommend using Southern Awning
