Even though there are veterenarians closer to where I live, I travel 26 miles to take my birds - parrots, budgies, and finches - to the Avian Medical Center in Lake Oswego, OR. I've been a client for the last 10 years.Unless a veterinarian is avian-certified, they do NOT know how to treat birds correctly, as I discovered to my birds' peril, before I found the AMC. The doctor and staff at the Avian Medical Center are the most knowledgeable regarding bird illnesses, anatomy, and behavior, and even offer bird bonding & behavior classes.They also have a bird boarding facility and you couldn't ask for better care. These folks know and love birds.Don't waste money taking your birds to a dog-and-cat veterinarian.
