Operational for more than 30 years, Columbia County Senior Services is a nonprofit corporation that serves the needs of senior citizens in Columbia County in Florida. It offers meal, transportation, telephone reassurance, emergency alert response and legal assistance services. The corporation provides a variety of educational and recreational activities, such as kitchen band, crafts, exercise, sewing and quilting classes. Columbia County Senior Services also offers blood pressure screening activities, informative lectures, monthly birthday parties and evening dances. The corporation provides homemaking and personal care services. It offers a subsidy program to help families keep older family members at home and pay for their medical supplies and medications. Columbia County Senior Services is funded by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
