- ElectrocardiogramPatients pre-admitting for surgery complete their registration, nurse interview, blood work, EKG, and chest x-ray located in the Atrium at the our Main Campus. If a patient needs financial counseling, they can also complete a financial assistance application in the Patient Access Center. Patients needing to discuss their accounts have access to knowledgeable personnel to address their concerns and answer questions.

He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Azevedo’s post medical training included a residency at Scripps Clinic/Green Hospital, where he served as chief resident.

The ASGE recognition means that Memorial's expert gastroenterology clinical team has demonstrated the highest standards of commitment to safety and quality by meeting the program’s rigorous evidence-based tracking of physician clinical performance, patient outcomes, training, credentialing and infection control rates. Quality measures include key components critical to high quality gastrointestinal endoscopic patient care including adenoma detection rates, cecal intubation rate, adequacy of bowel preparation, patient satisfaction surveys, and adverse event tracking. - MammographyMammography is the process of taking a digital image of the breast to identify abnormalities such as very small lumps, areas of calcification, or other changes before they can be felt by a woman or her physician.
- Computed TomographyThe Joint Commission measured Memorial against national standards for the care of stroke patients including: door to CT scan time, how quickly patients received tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) – a clot-busting medication, how quickly patients are transferred who need clot retrieval procedures, and the quality of care administered within those time frames and through discharge. Memorial met these guideline standards thanks to the interdisciplinary team’s use and development of written care protocols, education programs, quality reviews and performance improvement activities across the health system.

Dr. Brown received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center—Shreveport in Shreveport, LA, where he also spent his residency training in general surgery. While still in Shreveport, he completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery and is board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He most recently earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University—Shreveport.
