The 40-bed Emergency Department expansion doubled the size of the previous space to just under 26,000 sq ft. and includes specialized treatment areas for critical care, mental health and fast track non-critical care designed to improve the care process and reduce waiting times. Memorial in the only hospital in Southwest Louisiana with a Level III Trauma Center. Treating an average 63,000 patient in the ER annually, as the largest, full-service health system in Southwest Louisiana, Memorial's ER has 24/7/365 coverage of emergency medicine doctors and is a certified stroke care facility.

- Primary CareIn 2013, W.O. Moss Regional Hospital joined the Lake Charles Memorial Health System and was renamed Moss Memorial Health Clinic. The goal of the collaboration between Memorial and the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is to provide more efficient health care services for the under-served populations of southwest Louisiana. The inpatient, surgery and emergency services moved to Memorial’s Oak Park campus. Primary care services are available by appointment and serve as a referral to specialty outpatient clinics depending on the diagnosis and treatment needs of each patient. Moss Memorial also has a retail pharmacy for patient's convenience open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. - Emergency CareEstablished in 1952, the main campus consists of 313 licensed acute care beds on Oak Park Boulevard. The main campus provides the largest array of specialty, emergency, trauma and critical care services in the community. - Computed TomographyThe Joint Commission measured Memorial against national standards for the care of stroke patients including: door to CT scan time, how quickly patients received tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) – a clot-busting medication, how quickly patients are transferred who need clot retrieval procedures, and the quality of care administered within those time frames and through discharge. Memorial met these guideline standards thanks to the interdisciplinary team’s use and development of written care protocols, education programs, quality reviews and performance improvement activities across the health system.
