Update Return To Barber's Edge

Scott Jordan - Review Update - On October 28th I had a less then good experience at Barber's Edge. As is my custom to review things both good and bad I posted the review. The owner contacted me shortly after and apologized and invited me back to review his shop again "on the house". I took him up on his offer tonight though insisted on paying. Result? Excellent! I was treated very professionally and the skill level with my beard and haircut was exemplary. I had the hot towel shave and cut and found my second time to be a wonderful experience. I am very happy to write that after giving Barber's Edge a second try can happily recommend it! I asked the owner to just give me something professional with style and my wife wonders why I never did this before. Barber's Edge is definitely a stylish place for guys that want excellent service and an artful professional touch. 5 stars this time!

Don't Waste Your Money Here

Terrible Experience - Do Not Waste Your Money - I spent almost 40 min waiting for a cut that did not happen. One Stylist made a mess of a customers hair and the Lead had to spend 15 min. fixing it. Ok these things happen however, they then talk about how he's only cut hair 5 to 10 times? I'm unnerved but stay because the other two seem to know what their doing. The lead then berates the "newbie" in front of the entire shop. I felt bad for the guy, whether he deserved it or not it was extremely unprofessional. Shortly after this the third stylist interrupts a haircut to go take a phone call. Which didn't really surprise me because he was texting on his phone more than cutting the customers hair anyway. The receptionist apologized to me and asked me to stay. The other styling places nearby were now closed I told myself I'd give it 5 more min. The receptionist then told the Lead he was leaving for the night and the lead Stylist told me he'd be right back. Ok fine, until coming right back turned into the two of them chatting and sitting in front of the shop smoking with obviously no intent of coming back inside. I am amazed this place is open the way they treat their clients! IF there is a general manager he or she may want to check on them in the evenings because from what I saw they have no idea what the word professional means. This was a complete waste of time. I don't know what happened since the great reviews of 9months ago. But its obvious that Barber's Edge doesn't care anymore.
