Berta Weathersbee Elementary School, located in Lagrange, Ga., is affiliated with the Troup County School System. The school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics, and computer and physical education. Berta Weathersbee Elementary School also offers reading, writing, spelling, computer education, early intervention project, special education, speech and media studies programs. It also offers the accelerated reader programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
