The chimney sweep who cleaned my chimney (double flue) told me both flues needed relining and were a fire and carbon monoxide hazard. After calling several companies and asking a contractor friend, I called Firefox. I am so glad I did. Upon the inspection it was not as bad as the chimney sweep thought, however the flues did need relining and the heatilator was also rusted and needed replacing. My whole fireplace was unsafe. Our own visual inspection confirmed this after the heatilator was removed. Our fireplace was never properly insulated by the mason our builder hired. Since the work was so extensive, Lou suggested we do the boiler flue immediately as it was getting cold and we needed the heat and wait till spring to do the fireplace, which we did. Their prices were reasonable and the crew was both courteous and trust worthy. They did a great job of cleanup also.

If they cant keep appointments they should atleast call. WE bot left work to be here waiting for a salesman who never showed up. One guy said 3pm, at 4:45 pm and our 2nd call they then said 4pm (it was already almost 5pm) Not a great beginning of a sale that's now not going to happen.

Well,Our insert was installed by a subcontractor who messed up the electrical. Jim (?), not sure of his name, came back and corrected, then cleaned up the mess left in the basement from the subcontractors. The subcontractors on the day of install also tried to sell my wife on the day of install a $300 "capping" system on cracked mortar chimney top. Lou said it was in the quote so my wife waived on it. Lou came out and "installed the system. A year later I found that the capping system installed by Lou was simply silicone caulking of the cracks! I also fount the chimney liner popping out a few inches. Thank god Jim(?) came back and fixed, then, without me asking, installed the applied rubber menbrain cap on the top of the chimney. Lou's job was low quality, Jim's was great. Try to work with Jim, or was it Warren, if you go with them.

Bad service very long wait to have work done after install there was no follow up on how to use stove or turn on after inspection turman pellets they suggested are horrible had outside air kit installed 6 weeks after initial install was told to throw manual away outside air kit was installed ok but was not the correct manufactures part number of kit customer service at store was fair to poor treated like a number not like someone who purchased a high end stove with cash also had to call manufacture to answer most of my questions

Over one year ago I needed a gas fireplace insert repaired. Neither Firefox or Suburban Propane will assist with the repair until the two businesses speak with each other. Suburban came to my home and disconnected my tank instead of connecting it and did not tell me. Firefox made service call and charged me although they never made the effort to speak with Suburban Propane. No Customer service from either company. Did not follow through.

The insert was installed last week. The installers did a great job and cleaned up well after they were done. Inspection passed with no issues. Finally got a chance light it today. While it is only the first burn, all is working as advertised. Only slight fumes from the paint cure but the burn is providing excellent heat. Very little smoke coming from the chimney. So far so good.

Not everyone can be happy but we were. We had a High Heat Gas Fireplace installed in our Lake Front Home. Yes it cost some money, but the stone work and mantel are beautiful and the heat with a push of a button is outstanding. This fireplace not only has enhanced our log homes appearance but we enjoy the warmth we get from it. Very Cozy. The Installers and Staff were great. Sometimes got the answering machine and had to wait for a call back, but during the winter I guess that is to be expected of a busy very experienced Chimney and Stove Store. Thanks Again. Al C.

I checked out the reviews and asked FireFox Company what they were about. Needless to say you can't believe everything you read or hear! The review that states the unit failed inspection several times was actually not for FireFox, it was for the homeowners electrician. I called the town and checked it out also, the inspector of that town confirmed that FireFox was fine and typically never has any inspection issues. The good rating I decided to check on also, and I called the homeowner. Nice family during hard times, the unit saved them this past heating season. So I decided 4 weeks ago to sign with FireFox to install a new Gas Unit in my bedroom and a Wood Fireplace in our Family Room. I experienced great customer service and a timely install, and the inspections flew through with flying colors. So Thank you FireFox, you put our mind at ease and did everything you said you would do. I guess no one can be perfect all of the time, but you were for us! Thanks FireFox, Charlie S.

Had high end fireplace unit installed. Installation failed inspection multiple times. Owners were rude and disinterested. Once they have your money, they want nothing to do with correcting the problems.

Thank You So Very Much FireFox. I was at a loss this past winter season, my heating bills were driving me out of my home that I only just purchased in Spring of 2009. Lou, you came in and truly cared about me and my situation. You made recommnendations and gave me fair pricing. I'm so glad I said yes. You gave me the best investment ever, I love my Wood Stove Fireplace Insert and I already got back my 2009 Tax Credit so I saved all the way around and came out of this winter smiling.
