Dr. Suzanne Foster has been our daughter's pediatrician since she was born. We've always been happy with Dr. Foster; I would also credit her for saving our daughter's life when Lafayette General sent her away with RSV and pneumonia. Thank you, Dr. Foster (not sarcasm).

On the other hand, SWLA does not have my gratitude. Our daughter did at one time have medicaid, but we've since been able to get private insurance. SWLA knew this. It's been over a year that our daughter has had private insurance. They knew it when we scheduled our daughter's 4 year wellness checkup and vaccinations. Want to know what they also knew? That they weren't going to give her any vaccinations because "they're only for patients with medicaid."

Could they have told us this before we had a wasted wellness check? Sure, but then they wouldn't have gotten paid. So, they waited until the end of the check up to tell us that we'd have to go elsewhere for vaccinations.

No one will give a 4 year old a flu shot or vaccinations outside of a Dr's office. Our annual wellness check that is covered by insurance? Already used. So, we'll now be paying out of pocket to get our child vaccinated in addition to what is already paid to insurance each month. So thank you, SWLA. Thank you for nothing.

Dr josh and his staff are great :) I've had lots of dental work done in my life but theirs is by far the best I've received all around.
