DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AN TIME!



Never Never purchase from this place i had broken mirror, two broken drawers, missing hardware,scratches. It has now been a month since i reported these problems still no new parts not to mention they are so unprofessional i have to call them for updates because they don't call us. i am so disgusted with them i wish they would come get their trash out my house.

These are the most unprofessional people ever. My husband an i ordered a bedroomset from them when delivered i guess they sent the weakest men there were scratches, 2 broken drawers, cracked mirror an missing drawer hardware which he said he would be back to bring an never showed. When i discovered all these flaws one broken drawer i opened they just threw broken parts in it an didn't mention a word to me about it that really pissed me off. When we reported this trash my husband had to talk cause i was so hot an wanted them to come get it out my house. My husband told of all the problems an how angry i was this lil girl told him to tell me be patient really tell your workers be patient when installing customers furniture. Its now been a month still no new parts not even a phone call with updates so unprofessional so if anyone is thinking about shopping here i advise you to think twice i feel like we wasted over 3000 dollars. I never had this problem at homefurniture. I would have put no star but had to.

Horrible

All around horrible place. Over priced, shady sales associates, and even worse management. I purchased 7000 dollars worth of bedroom furniture I was told was"high end" to later discover that it was compressed wood made in china. The delivery guys broke the bed when assembling it, which was not replaced. A year later I purchased an additional night stand ( after relocating to houston I discovered no one in Texas sells this cheap name brand I over paid for). When I purchased the night stand it came boxed up; when I got home 4 hours later and unpacked it the night stand doesn't match the furniture. After the 10th phone call to speak to the manager he told me to bring it back for store credit and didnt even offer to find one that would match.... Never again... Lafayette has too many quality furniture stores for this place to even be in business.

My husband and I ordered a sec...

My husband and I ordered a sectional July 4th. We were told we would receive it in 30 days. It is now 60 days later and we still have not received and they can't tell us where it is. Not only that, within those 60 days they would just keep telling us that they would look into it and then call us and we never got a call back. We called 4 times and always got the same answer. We finally went in to actually speak with the manager and at this point wanting an inconvenience discount of some sort and once again they said they would look into it and call us. 1 week later, still no call. Today I went in once again to speak to the manager and he said that he would have to speak to the owner about a discount. I then asked about the fact that we paid for the sectional with our credit card and haven't paid the balance off yet because we don't have the item yet so we are accruing interest and to maybe see if we can finance with them instead and he said he would have to ask. He walked out the office to apparently go get the owner (Jasper). Jasper came into speak with us and approached us very aggressively. He said there was absolutely nothing he could do. He proceeded to tell us that our salesperson no longer works for them and that the salesperson fed us the wrong time limit on when we would receive the sectional. He could not give us an inconvenience discount nor waive the shipping fee saying that the shipping fee was because it was coming from another warehouse. I made the point that no matter whether we ordered the sectional or bought the floor model there would still be a shipping fee to deliver to our house. He then acted like he was fed up with the conversation and said he would waive the shipping fee. Once again I cannot stress enough how aggressive he was with us. He kept threatening that if we decided to cancel our order that there would be a 25% restocking fee. (Of an item that we nor they have by the way.) At this point we still have no information on where our sectional is or when we will be getting it. Worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company I have ever had to deal with.

I've made a purchase there in ...

I've made a purchase there in '09 and was satisfied with the service and the great deal i was given so I went back and this time it was a different manager I explain what I wanted and ask him what kind of deal they had today he started preaching about the quality but I explain other stores have good quality and deals so he offered pennies I said well I will look around and he ask where i told him and stood up and told me then that's where u need to go and turned around and walk away I politely said thanks I will he very rude and ugly I went to another store and spent 3500 on what I was looking for and was given a too good to past great deal. I will never step foot in that store again they completely lost my business. I have made purchases from Browns at other surrounding stores since 1985 and was never ever treated like that before!

I got lucky it seems, I was told I would get the new leather sofa that they had in the box in the back. well I did not. I know it was the floor model, but at least there were no problems with it. It was delivered on time. don't know if I would shop there again though.

Bought a mattress set from Brown's Furniture in Aug. of 2008. Started having problems with the set in Feb. of 2009 . As of late march problem not resolved. Will not buy another item from them. Custmer service is horrible. Calls never returned. while waiting for a replacement mattress one afternoon the warehouse manager called to say they did not have the replacement in stock. Delivery had been set up for a week. Today march 28th 2009 delivery of a replacement box spring. Wrong boxspring was loaded in the truck. So we still have a squeaky mattress set. I would suggest you not buy from this store. Sales people are quick to sell, but you will not have good customer service after the sale.

i purchased over 15,000.00 of furniture. they even sent in their interior decorator. my house looks awesome, and the were 3 grand cheaper than anyone else. we went to 5 other places and the staff and service cant be beat

purchased a entire house full. their interior decorator and EVEN the owner showed up to help us with paint colors and the flooring. My house looks like a million bucks. we shopped all over and just my Ashley sofa was $200 less than the big O. i saved thousands! my advice save your money and time Only one place to shop and it's at Browns Furniture Showplace. we paid 14 thousand saved $ 3800 dollars less than the place down the street plus they did not charge me for the interior design and referred me to someone who made us the Most beautiful window treatments. also remember it's locally owned and operated so i prefer to do business locally. Browns also supports several local charities throughout the state

best place in town to buy furniture. the competion must be loosing business to be posting negative reviews. they have been in business for 60 years and my family and grandparents have purchased from the browns companies for years. the offer the best price and delivered our house full the next day. thanks browns

Never Delivered...

I bought over $6000 worth of furniture there and although the majority of it was delivered that day to my great pleasure, the dining room table I ordered was never (this is over 4 weeks later) delivered. I was told that my table was backordered and it would be about two weeks. Two weeks later I go in to ask about it. They inform me it would be another untold ammount of time before getting the table but I would be given a loaner until then. I waited over a week and no word from them. Here I am over 4 weeks later and I'm still being promised a loaner table but there's no sign of it. I am more than disappointed. They did offer me a different table but I don't want any other table they have. This one is perfect for my home. I really hope that in the next week I will get a loaner table at the least. If not I will be contacting the better business bureau.

The Worst Furniture Place in Louisiana!!!!!

Dealing with this company has been a complete nightmare! We ordered a new sofa and what they delivered to us was the floor model, complete with holes, and marker stains. When we called to ask them why we got an old sofa they acted as if they had no idea what we were talking about and then tried to convince us that it was new. After they finally admitted it was a floor model, they promised to send us the new one when it came in. Well it has been more than six months now and after countless phone calls to the manager, we still have the floor model couch. After assuring us it would be in soon, he finally agreed to credit us a couple hundred dollars toward the sofa, but of course he never did. We got excuse after excuse. The last one we got was that the manager was at a funeral. So then the next day he of course was off somewhere else - how convenient!!! This is the worst store ever to do business with. They should be shut down!

POOR SERVICE, HAD TO PAY UP FRONT FOR FURNITURE THEY SAID THEY HAD. AFTER WE PAID, THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SOFA THEY SAID THEY HAD IN STOCK AND IT WOULD TAKE 4-6 WKS TO GET IN. THE OTTOMAN THEY WERE GOING TO ORDER FOR US WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY MORE MONEY FOR SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE WE HAD ALREADY DISPOSED OF OUR OTHER SOFAS AND HAD NO FURNITURE. SAID WE WERE 3RD ON DELIVERY, WAITED ALL DAY FOR DELIVERY. WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
