Lafayette Sunnyside Middle School is a public school that provides academic education to students in grades six through eight. The school is located in Lafayette, Ind., and enrolls more than 700 students. It is a part of the Lafayette School Corporation. The school provides an interactive learning environment and emphasizes on reading, writing and communication skills. Its curriculum includes English, foreign languages, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Lafayette Sunnyside Middle School also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as art, music, band, chess, choir and orchestra. Additionally, it provides health, physical, technology and special education. It also offers an EXCEL program for students having academic excellence and focuses on math, and English language and literature. The middle school also provides various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, cross country, golf, wrestling and tennis.
