Located in Lafayette, Calif., Buddha Gate Monastery is a branch of the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, which can accommodate more than 100 cultivators. Chung Tai Chan Monastery has a prajna lecture hall that conducts sutra studies and lectures and can accommodate over 50 people. The monastery also offers classes in Buddhism and Chan meditation in English and Chinese. It has a wide range of facilities, such as a kitchen and dining rooms to feed thousands of people. Additionally, it has classrooms, meditation and devotional halls, which can accommodate hundreds of practitioners. The monastery has various other facilities, including a health clinic, library, museum, maintenance shops and an auto-shop to maintain all its transportation needs.
