Founded in 1988, Meta Tec Inc. specializes in machining of aluminum and iron castings. Based in Lacon, Ill., the firm operates a range of bridge machining centers, horizontal/vertical computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers, CNC turning centers, lathes, drills and grinders. Its currents projects include large off-road equipment frames and large frame attachments that are utilized in the fields of mining and pipelaying. The company's clients include Caterpillar East Peoria, Hitachi Truck Manufacturing, Waukesha Engine and BOMAG Americas. It also operates a manufacturing of facility of 41,000 square feet and is a member of American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
