Nasty Customer Service!

I was told that it was going to be 45 mins. After an hour and a half of waiting for our pizza I became angry and then told a manager to cancel the order. He got angry and told me that I should maybe go to Dominos next time.So that's where I'll take my business for now on.Maybe one has to be rich to get good customer service? Good looking out Rosattis!

Rosati's Authentic Chicago

I've lived in Southern California since 1979 and in La Quinta for 18-1/2 years. When I left Chicago there were many authentic pizza restaurants but only one Italian Beef stands near the U if I Chicago Circle campus on Taylor near Halstead St. This was the famous Al's. It seems that soon Italian Beef (& combo's - beef & sausage), Chicago Dogs, Thin & Thick crust Chicago Pizza and Char-broiled burgers bloomed. As Chicago's famous places spread (for me the best were in Skokie, the world's largest village where I lived since moving to the 'burbs in 1954) those who retired headed west - but no further than Arizona. That is until Brian from Buffalo Grove Illinois relocated to the desert furring the downfall of the building industry to open a Rosati's franchise right in my back yard of La Quinta!
Here is a big hint - if you want authentic Chicago Pizza you have to ask for "Chicago style" or you get California style. There is a difference and make sure you tell Brian or his wife "Marilyn's husband told you." you won't be disappointed!
Italian beef is a Chicago squired taste but one taste and your hooked!
A real Chicago Cheddar burger requires a smear of Brian's stash of spread cheddar - not the sliced stuff - Brian knows what I mean since I have my own spread stash!
A Chicago dog is a Venna kosher dog on a poppy seed bun - you can add whatever you want to a Chicago Dog , but Chicagoan's really don't put catchup on hot Dogs unless they are children who strip the skin off.
A history lesson - before the Eden's Expressway was constructed to Skokie and northern suburbs pur fathers took Lake Shore Drive home and took the Fpster Street exit. Hot dog venders with carts were at the exit - launching one of the first most famous stands in Skokie's "restaurant row - Dempster Street. The most famous was Big Herm's! At least once a week my dad stopped at Herm's cart and brought home dinner.
Rosati's came some 30 years later (after I moved to California) but followed the Chicago tradition.
Rosati's gets 5 out of 5! Brian is the real thing. I haven't had the beef for a while. It takes time to educate Californians in Chicago cuisine so ask for a taste first - and remember to tell him Marilyn's husband recommended Rosati's!
Tip the delivery boy well - he is our grandson! Where else would I want him to work - and Brian works him hard because he is a Chicago boy!
5 out of 5 stars but remember to ask for Chicago Style.
