BUYERS BEWARE! California Appliance Services charged $485.00 for a Frigidaire icemaker and valve (manufacturer's price $116.00 and $65.57, respectively) including installation. Other local repair stores charge $139.00 for the Frigidaire replacement icemaker without the valve and an installation cost $100.00 for a total of $239.00 compared to $485.00 charged by California Appliance Services of La Quinta, CA.Furthermore, California Appliance Services misrepresented the manufacturer by claiming we had to buy the kit which included the valve. Frigidaire does not sell the icemaker and valve as a kit. The icemaker and the valve are separate parts according to Frigidaire representatives.
